The New Clinton Hotel is located in the heart of South Beach. Newly opened in May of 2003, this ultra- contemporary hotel raises the pole for cutting edge design and innovation in this already chic neighborhood. Abandoning most conventional ideals for hotel design, the Clinton follows its own muse and the result is an ultra-cool, intimate and sexy place to stay when visiting one of the world's most popular destinations. While the building itself is a product of the neighborhood's historical art deco past, the Clinton is of completely new construction on the inside. Situated on Washington Avenue, the hotel is surrounded by diverse restaurants, trendy shops and lively bars. The location is just steps from the beach, yet pleasantly removed from the tourist traps on Ocean Drive.
The corridors have very subdued lighting, which lends a mysterious feel as you go to your room for the first time. No two guest rooms are the exact same at the Clinton. Each room will have a unique color scheme, and some difference in layout. The common theme is the sleek, handsome, contemporary décor and a superior level of comfort. The rooms have custom furnishings, well-appointed (if not fantastic) bathrooms, and some unexpected perks. The rooms are also equipped with a desk area with DSL access. The Clinton's facilities also go beyond the norm for this neighborhood. Besides offering free passes to a local health club, the Clinton features a small, exercise pool. There is also a second, "reflecting pool", and a relaxing courtyard, which offer a tranquil respite from the seemingly non-stop energy on the streets of South Beach. The Clinton is home to an outstanding onsite restaurant, "Pao", which offers classic Chinese cuisine in a stylish, modernist setting, with the option of dining in the courtyard by the pool. High profile celebrities have already chosen to dine at this already acclaimed restaurant, which serves until 2 am. Hotel guests should inquire about some complimentary perks, such as free entry to local clubs, a boat tour, and even the free loan of a bicycle during their visit.
